Yay for pushing drunk people out of the way! There was this drunk guy on the tube once that was determined to talk to my book. Or my boobs. With drunk people it's always one way or the other.
And despite what people may say- alcohol is not an acquired taste- you either like it or you don't. People who say "I've learned to love it" really mean "I've learned to kill my taste-buds before I drink it". Like smokers.
You probably liked the Screwdriver more than the Appletini and Cosmo because it's alcohol content is actually really low- if it was in a (tall) highball glass, which I'm guessing it was, then only maybe a quarter (or less) was actually vodka and the rest was orange juice and whatever else (non-alcoholic) was in it (if anything else at all). The other two come in much smaller glasses (so they can't dilute the drinks too much or everyone would notice) and they're also made with stronger vol. alcohol- the Appletini is vodka (which usually comes around 35% at bars) and some sort of liqueur (and they usually come about at around 35% too) and the Cosmo is vodka as well as Contrieau (which is a liqueur that comes in at about 40%).
Either way, the open bar usually means they'll use as little of the weakest alcohol they have and if you look underage or whatever, they'd probably weaken it even more.
Anyway, point is: Please drink responsibly! Especially if you don't like it- then don't drink at all! Just get a juice cocktail, they do those at bars too! I always get so worried by my douchey friends whenever they go out and drink- they get drunk and have no sense of preservation (even when they're sober) and they even get their drinks spiked and don't have the sense to go to a fucking hospital when they're throwing up blood.

Seriously, if you drink, stay safe.
