darthbatgirl at my DCU Kissing Meme. Prompt was first kiss. Tim watched his life fall apart and looked to all the missed times that could have been first kisses with Kon. Life goes on, and it gets better. Spoilers for Robin #182, New Kyrpton, and Final Crisis: Legions of Three Worlds #3.

Tim imagined how sweet his first kiss with Kon would be, but nowadays, thinking about that would be considered morbid on Tim's part. Kon was dead. Nothing he could do could change that, not the cloning or using the Pit. He would never get the chance to press his lips to Kon's, not knowing if he would kiss back or freak out. Tim would rather deal with Kon freaking out on him than never being able to have the chance to have tried.
When Tim thought about it, there were a handful of times he and Kon almost kissed. Back in Young Justice, they had gotten once or twice, not really planning to getting close enough to even attempt to kiss, but the first time, Bart interrupted with a flurry of leaves behind him as he sped through of an explanation of why he was late to the Justice Cave this time.
The second time had been much later during Young Justice, and they were interrupted by Cassie instead. Luckily, she was about as clueless as the boys were to their attraction, so Cassie pulled at Kon's arm to follow her. It had led to them getting closer to becoming a couple, so Tim inadvertently backed off.
The next time they almost kissed was during their time as Teen Titans. Tim had told Kon who his other donor was, and the last time Kon had seen Cassie was when Wonder Woman had thrown him clear cross the San Fransisco Bay. Kon was looking depressed, and Tim wanted so badly to make Kon stop brooding like a bat. Tim reached his hand out to cup Kon's cheek, but their communicators went off, and it was full Superboy and Robin mode from that moment on for the rest of the night.
After that, events started to blur together. Things with Steph got worse before she died, his dad was killed, and then the Crisis happened. Tim's whole world fell apart during that Crisis. His only family left was Bruce and Dick, and they were hurting badly. His Titan team was irrevocably damaged because of Kon's death. Cassie lashed out. Bart changed and pretended to move on. The older Titans had fragmented from the team. Tim would not admit it, but he needed support.
It had been a year and a half since the Crisis, and Tim's life still was not as together as he wanted it. The fling with Cassie had been a monumentally bad idea, but at least she was moving on now. He had been rumors about Bart returning by way of the future, and just the other day Bart had sped through Gotham to confirm it as fact. Tim had been so happy, but still, a part of him was broken. He even had Steph back, but that was clearly never going to be the same.
So many people had left him, but they were slowly starting to trickle back. He knew not to hope for his dad. His dad was gone, and they had been getting closer, but had he lived, Tim was really beginning to believe the rift between them never would have full been bridged. Tim pushed thoughts of his father away as he continued his work to keep Gotham safe.
Even with Batman missing, Tim had quite a bit of help on that front. He knew Dick would help anyway he could, but he found an unlikely ally in Jason once he released him from jail. Steph still patrolled the streets, even after he told him not to, but as long as he knew her pattern, he could send Red Robin to patrol those parts of the city.
Soon, Dick set out to find Bruce himself, or at least the body. Tim had not thought it a good idea for Dick to go alone, but he could not leave Gotham to Jason and Steph. They were capable, but the chance of another gang war breaking out was high, and he did not want to risk either of them dying while he was away.
Days after Dick had left, Tim sat watching the monitors. He began hearing rumors of a Nightwing and Flamebird fighting crime in Gotham. Clearly, it was not Dick, and the Flamebird was most likely not Bette Kane. Who they were was still a mystery, even after Jason reported in about them. Jason had given him two pieces of information, though. They were metas, and the meta-Nightwing was looking for Robin.
Tim decided to oblige Nightwing, skulking in the shadows behind the meta. He moved from the shadows, cape around him protectively. “You wanted to see me,” he stated quietly in his bat voice, causing the meta to jump in the air and not come down.
The meta turned around, and suddenly Tim was in a hug he could not get out of. He tried to break the hold, but he felt a familiar invisible force holding him in place. He looked up at the meta claiming the be Nightwing who was hugging him tightly.
Nightwing grinned, a grin that haunted Tim's dreams most nights as he pulled off his mask to reveal the face that haunted Tim's dreams every night. “Kon...” Tim breathed.
“One and only,” he whispered back before pulling Tim closer, lips brushing together softly.
Tim had imagined his first kiss with Kon being this sweet, but he never believed it would happen. The rational part of his mind supplied that there was no way this was Kon, but Tim decided to relish in the kiss just in case. If it was not Kon, it was very obvious this meta was Kyrptonian in nature. With the sudden influx of Kryptonians, Tim had kryptonite in his belt as a precaution. If this meta was not Kon, Tim was prepared to kick his ass all the way to New Krypton and back.
When Kon pulled away, he looked down at Tim. “Okay, really thought you were going to punch me with a kryptonite ring and demand proof,” Kon said as he floated them back onto the rooftop.
“That's still a very real possibility if I don't have an explanation and proof in the next five seconds,” Tim stated, his expressionless mask back on.
Kon laughed nervously. “I was hoping I wouldn't have to prove it, since I'm not sure what would be enough proof for a bat. Uhh, ask me anything?”
Tim stared at Kon for a moment. “How did you find out about you other donor?” he asked quietly, and Kon winced visibly.
“Should have guess that's what you ask...” Kon muttered before answering. “There was a stupid e-mail, and I didn't believe it. I wanted to drop it, but you wouldn't let it. Little creeper that you are had to know the truth, so you did the tests on some of my DNA. You never did tell me where you got my DNA, you creepy bat.”
Tim let a diminutive smile slip onto his face. “I took it from your towel after you left the pool in a huff,” Tim answered.
“Dude! Again, you are such a creepy bat,” Kon said affectionately with a laugh, before yanking Tim into another hug and launching into the air.
“Hey!” Tim protested weakly.
“I hear Batman's not in town, so let me bring you home,” Kon said suggestively.
Tim did not let on that Batman may never come back, but Kon had, and he was with him right now, not Bruce. Dick would find Bruce. For now, Tim was going to let Kon bring him home to the mansion, and continue where their first kiss had left off.
