Notes: Arrowette puppet finally gets her way and infiltrates the Queen household while Ollie's away to leave him a gift. Too bad for the YJ puppets that Connor's home and has no qualms about shooting at puppets. The Wonder Girl and Arrowette puppets waited as the Robin puppet picked the lock of the back door of Oliver Queen's residence. Once the door swung open quietly, Arrowette puppet thanked Robin puppet with a kiss on the cheek. Superboy puppet swooped down unhappily, taking Robin puppet into his arms to fly off, having done their part in Wonder Girl and Arrowette puppets' mission.
Once Wonder Girl puppet flew in, holding a video tape in her arms, Arrowette sent a boxing glove arrow flying to hit the door and shut it. Arrowette silently trekked across the floor, signaling for Wonder Girl puppet to follow by air.
Arrowette puppet sighed silently in relief when they reached the living room. “C'mon, hurry up and put the tape in the VCR,” Arrowette puppet said as she shifted nervously near the TV, looking out for any Arrows they may be awake.
Wonder Girl quickly insert the tape then gave Arrowette puppet a thumbs up. “Good to go,” she stated as she swooped and pulled Arrowette puppet onto her back.
When in the air, Arrowette puppet gripped to Wonder Girl puppet's shoulders as they flew back towards the back door they entered through as a light turned on. “Hurry up!” Arrowette puppet as she heard a bow being readied.
“I am!” Wonder Girl answered as she turned the doorknob to open the door only to have an Arrow whiz by. “Eep! Your family is quick with those!”
Arrowette puppet giggled just before another arrow went by, only not hitting them because Wonder Girl puppet used her bracelets to block it, but the force of it going by was enough to knock them out of the sky. The puppet rolled onto a ground with a thump as the second Green Arrow ran over, looking at the intruders.
“Puppets?” Connor questioned curiously, about to pick them up when a blur came by. “Another?”
Connor had readied his bow again as the Impulse puppet waved at him. “Hi!” he announced before grabbing the the girls. “Bye!”
With that, the puppet blurred away. Connor blinked then rubbed his eyes for a moment before shrugging. Stranger things have happened, he thought as he made his way back inside to check for anything different, just in case these puppets were malevolent.
Connor noticed the VCR now had a tape in it, so he turned on the TV then pressed play, wondering what this could be. He really hoped it was not some sort of ransom note. Being the only one in the house at the moment, Connor did not have an exact location on all his family members, though Mia should be with the Titans, Roy with the Outsiders while Lian was with Omar, and Ollie with Dinah.
“Welcome to the 2000 Olympics. If you have just tuned in, we are watching the Archery part of the games. Up is new comer, Cissie King-Jones of the US team!” the announcer said with gusto as the camera paned to the archery field.
Connor sat down on the couch, still suspicious, but intrigued by the event unfolding before his eyes. The stance of her archery was not at all like theirs, but the seemed similar somehow, like she was born the be carrying a bow and arrow. He continued to watch as Cissie hit every bull's-eye, dead center. Once she was finished, the camera panned to her face, showing a grin the Connor knew to well. Connor clicked off the VCR with a shake of his head.
Before he could full collect all his thoughts, the front door swung open, and Mia came grinning and fumbling with her weekend bag. “Hey, Connor!” she announced as she walked into the living room and noticed the remote in Connor's hand. “Were you watching something?”
“It seems some visitors left us a tape,” Connor stated as he rewound the tape a bit and pressed play just a the point of Cissie's last bull's-eye. “Look familiar?”
“Cissie!” she exclaimed, and Connor gave her quizzical look. “She's a Titan, Arrowette. Wow, I never knew she participated in the Olympics when she quit! She should have told me.”
Connor frowned. “I more meant he resemblance to Ollie,” Connor pointed out as he paused the tape at her wicked smile after she hit all her targets straight on.
Mia bit her lip. “Oh,” she said quietly. “I did point that out to her in the beginning of the weekend, but she just kind of shrugged it off. Maybe she doesn't know?”
“That sounds plausible,” Connor conceded. “Though, we should talk to her mother. I would suggest Ollie, but I'm beginning to believe that father cannot possibly keep track of all these women.”
Mia giggled, but she stopped immediately when she saw a flash of hurt cross Connor's eyes. “Oh, Connor, I'm sorry. It's just, you know, Ollie was a player. He's better now, right? And that's what matters.”
Connor nodded quietly. “Yes, now let's look up Cissie's mother and find some answers.”
