Battle For The Cowl #3 will be out 5/20. Want SO badly, but I've heard some lovely rumors. Line art in the back of the issues supports this. I mean, before Legions of Three Worlds came out, we DID get the line art for Kon's return before it happened. I think everyone was too distracted to think much of it.

In the back of some issues, we have the line art for Red Robin #2. That's obviously Timmy and who else would be in the Red Robin costume? I mean they're fighting TOGETHER, so it's not that jerk that stole Jason's costume. I say it's Jason. Fuck Didio saying it's a NEW Red Robin, but someone who was trained by the Bat. *grumbles* Fuck him, it's Jason, and he's just trying to be clever, the dumb fucker.

So yeah, rumors. I've heard that BftC is meant for two things. Obviously make Dick Batman because they're idiots (oh god, haha, I typo'd that 'didiots.' I think my laptops telling me something~). Second reason is to redeem Jason Todd. Um, okay, that's fine, but uhhh, killing Timmy will NOT end in redemption in anyway. Hell, Dick might kill Jason if Timmy's death stick. Because Dick's done it before. Remember Last Laugh, anyone?

I've also heard that the concept or story or whatever for Red Robin is Tim and Red Robin (JASON) going around the world to search for clues about Bruce. *coughs* I kind called that one in a RP. I mean, I didn't get to the around the world trip, but Tim and Jason working together to find Bruce? Wrote it first with a Tim RPer at red_hot_robin, so take that, DC!

I have some context proof for Tim-Jason working together. The 'a little birdie told me' comment from the last BftC was not really an offhand comment by Jason. Tim's the little birdie. Okay, so yeah I'm done. Thoughts?

Oh don't worry, I will. >>;; The rant will be long, drawn out and maybe/probably angry. Even if DC goes the way I want, they'll find a way to piss me off. (Like if Dick becomes Bats, they'll probably treat him horribly; he'll never be happy in the cowl. ;-;!)

I dont want Dick to be Bats. ;~; I think, based on the new cover to the Bat&Rob that it's Tim. The boots are slightly wrong, but look at the costume. Dick wouldn't be able to do half his moves in a cape THAT long. It also looks a lot more armored, more like Tim's Robin costume. (well, and, on top of that, the new Bat is SMILING. Tim's comment in 1 was to the effect of Dick basically cutting off all his emotions, so....no smiles).

I think it Selina is going to get Tim out of there and save him and there shall be epic battle between Dick and Jason. Probably not a happy battle, but really, since when are those two HAPPY? :\ Certain things just don't make a lot of sense. Mick becoming Bats? Would destroy him. (there's also that whole bit where he doesnt want it, and BRUCE doesnt want him to be Bats either). Everytime something happens, it's always Bruce tossing Tim into the cowl, so...Tim's got the bigger amount of experience. (granted, I still have lots of reading to do)

Oh, neither do, but it kinda makes more sense. Dick has been Batman before (a la Prodigal), and as Jason's pointed out mercilessly, Tim is too small to look threatening as Batman. I agree with this (and not only because Jason said it >>;; )

Okay, I will admit Tim's worn the cowl before in Sins of Youth, but that was just a necessity because of the age switch. Other than that, I have not seen Tim get tossed into the cowl. :/ It's unfortunate, but it's pretty much been a push from the beginning that Dick become Batman. DC is pretty obvious about it. :/

Well, not tossed into it, but Bruce made it clear at least three times (No Man's Land, Gang Wars (i think) and Sins) that Tim would be the best canidate, in his opinion, as his successor. He says some rather NASTY things about Dick's try at the Cowl too...I wonder if they'll take that into account.

And Tim might be small, but he is the better detective, and he is probably the closest thing to Bruce you're going to get. Dick wouldn't be able to carry it for long before it killed him inside. Not like he's been doing too goo d a job making his life behave. And yeah, okay, I admit. Everyone else thinks Dick's gonna be Bats too. Rah's made it clear he expects Dick to be the next Bat so that they can enjoy fighting with each other.

Didio is on my facebook top 5 ppl I want to punch in the face. Along with my music history professor, and Superboy Prime. I would love to see Jason and Timmy working together, that would be awesomeawesome. And I think you're right "little birdie" comment, and not to mention Timmy broke him out of jail. Sweet. I haven't read Last Laugh. (should I?) What happened?

<3 As he should be. Though, I gotta admit the mini-comics at the end of the comics is a nice thought (for Blue Beetle and other who don't have their own comics anymore), but that's all he's done right. (Oh darling, better have that kyptonite when you punch him or you're gonna hurt yourself on Prime's face. >>;; )

Last Laugh's STORY is amazing, BUT the art work makes my eyes bleed. I never read it fully. I pretty much read a bit, then started skimming to the last few issues where everyone thinks Killer Croc nom'd and ate Tim. Dick goes off to find the Joker to stop all the madness (lol) when Timmy resurfaces with Babs with his costume half gone. Timmy runs off after Dick when Babs tells him how torn up he was about Tim's 'death' then Dick finds the Joker.

The Joker, being the Joker, taunts Dick about there being ANOTHER dead Robin. Well, Dick is pissed and hits him a bunch of times as Joker keeps taunting him. The he says something about killing two boy wonders in one day (I think Joker was the reason Tim ran into Croc to begin with). Joker then says: "Aww... Jeez... I hit Jason harder than that. His name was Jason, right?" *whimpers* Well then Dick goes for the killing blow, and dead Joker.

Of course, after this Timmy shows up asking him what he did, and Dick's all like 'you're an illusion!' He figures out he's not then is all oh god what did I do... Batman comes in and SOMEONE gives Joker mouth to mouth. >>;; I dunno WHO, and I dun wanna know. <<;;

Hmm, now I wanna write that AU I planned where Jason wasn't ready to come to Gotham yet, but when he heard about Joker's rampage all over, he came running to kill the fucker (at that point, Luthor was President and said that the army could kill Joker. I bet anyone killing the Joker would get a fucking medal at that point. <3)

OMG, I wish the art was better so I would actually want to get it. Dead Timmy angst! I'd kinda like to see that when he showed up (half nekkid, woo!) and Dick be like "You're alive! *hug*" but that probably didn't happen. Sounds like he went straight for the angst. Oh Dick.

Just download it or something. The art is not worth the buy, ever. Ugh. I mean, everyone and their mother got Jokerized, but I couldn't tell who was who! Argh, annoying.

Dick did go straight for the angst. :( And I wonder why this is never brought up. I mean, Dick's killed DIRECTLY, but since Batman brought Joker back, oh, all is forgiven! *grumbles about double standards*

I'm looking (unsuccessfully, I admit) for it. That kinda reminds me of Titans Vol5. It's just a collection of the Titans at the time of IC, but there's one section where the art is reeeeally hideous. Which is sad, because I'd probably love it for the Tim/Kon-ness that is implied in that part.

Yeah, Last Laugh is a difficult find. I don't think I actually have all of it on my hard drive, just the second half. :/ Ugh, I hate bad art when the story is awesome. :(

I am certain that Dick will be Batman, because they are stupid, and also because DiDio wants to have concrete evidence that Dick really is "redundant" (his words, not mine) and what better way? This will, in the future, give him reason to kill Dick off. Everyone thinks Dick is safe since his IC "save" but I do not. I think DiDio is just building up his reasons.
