Happy Birthday, Kimi-chan, bestest friend in the world! Haha, she doesn't use her LJ, so she won't see this, but it had to be said anyway!~ I said happy birthday on her Facebook wall at midnight (and beat out Heather B for that for once, ha! She says she'll get the next b-day, which is mine. >>;; No, I'm not planning to write on my own wall first, noooo. >>;; Yeah, she doesn't have an LJ, so she won't see this~).

I need to get her into DC like last month, so I could offer he b-day fic instead of figuring out a prezzie to buy. >>;; You know, since she went away to college this year, she's my only friend that didn't really know about my Robin obsession? I know, right? My bestest friend did not know about my biggest obsession EVERER. >>;; Nor do I think she really understand the extent of the obsession. <<;;

In other news, OMG, did anyone read the Editor's Note this week for DC Comics? I LAUGH, Didio, LAUGH. Fuck you. So much BULLSHIT, right there. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, comment and I'll post a link of the page. *must not kill Didio at Wizard World, must not...*

Star Trek 2009 ate my soul for 2 and a half weeks. And the fic? Kinda inspired by the other stuff I was reading in that time. XD

It was so awful that he was without one for, you know, like six months. I'm sooooo glad they cancelled the Robin book, since the unworthy spawn in that role does not deserve his own book. This amuses me because in one of the posts on my LJ, the discussion was if I had to ship Tim with either Kirk or Spock, who would I choose, and I had to pick Kirk, because he fit the Dick/Kon prototype.

I like that idea! (Hey, it works for the Hawkpeople. It can totally work for people I actually find interesting!) It would work on so many levels too. Basic personalities, Kon/Kirk continuing to be pretty much fatherless despite having a father figure in the movie (or in the novelization, at least), Tim/Spock losing their mother at a pivotal point and learning to repress like whoa, the early kryptonite disagreement scenes...

That would be such an awesome fic. It is clearly begging you to write it. *encourages shamelessly.*

I just finished it today! It ate my brain the past 2 days and I had to write it. And the premise is pretty NuTrek in design. I definitely couldn't resist throwing a "logical" in there XD

Hmm... maybe. I think I'll probably end up writing it but not posting it (in which case I'd send it to you ^_^), since I'm not all that comfortable writing Star Trek. But dangit, as I'm typing this I'm having more ideas...... involving shameless cuteness, as is my wont.... we'll see. I'll let you know <3

Is the Trek-beta offer still open? elenorasweet had this great idea for an epic crossover (Kon, the ambassador from the just-discovered planet Krypton, falls for Lieutenant Drake, a genetic scientist aboard the Enterprise; Jim and a reluctant Spock play matchmaker) that I'm writing. There's one scene that I know will give me trouble, in which Spock has an extremely awkward heart-to-heart with Kon about being looked down on by their societies for having human DNA. Once I write it, would you mind looking the fic over for me? If you're too busy at that time, I will totally understand.

I'm reallllly excited about this one. elenorasweet and I have been swapping ideas nonstop. Krypton won't be emotionless, per se, but will be extremely xenophobic, which is why Kon decides to go with his dad the ambassador to Earth. The human DNA was introduced 200 years before, when Krypton was an empire and had colonies, and a few early human space explorers came back and integrated into society. So the entire part of the House of El descended from these guys is looked down on even though they're genius scientists. Kal doesn't really care, but Kon feels like an outcast, so he decides to go to Earth with him.

I'm also really glad you'll be reading this, because it's aimed at a really specific audience. So hey, a reader besides elenorasweet and I will be awesome XD
