Forming the Teen Titans wasn't quite as difficult as Dixie thought it would be. Mostly, everything just fell into place. Dixie met Kid Flash and Aqualad first, saving a whole town's teens from disaster. It had been pretty awesome then Wonder Girl joined, and she wasn't the only girl anymore.
They let Robin led, and didn't even mind that she was a girl. Then Speedy joined. Actually, Dixie had nothing against Speedy. They met a few times when Green Arrow had teamed up with Batman. He had been newer at sidekicking than she had been, and Dixie had been glad to boost his ego a bit and help him out with heroing technique.
But that had been a year ago, and it seemed some things had changed. He had definitely picked up some habits from Green Arrow. Once Speedy had arrived, he started using some cheesy pick up lines on Wonder Girl. Dixie was not amused, and if she had Wonder Girl's super strength, Dixie would have punched Speedy across the room already. Dixie was seriously wondering why Wonder Girl wasn't.
Wonder Girl giggled at Speedy's latest pick up line, and Dixie was finally fed up. She held back, and didn't cross the room in full on stomp, but it had been pretty damn close. She put a hand on Speedy's shoulder, which stopped him mid-pick up line.
She gripped his shoulder, hard. “Speedy, don't you think you should be meeting the rest of the Titans?” she asked, voice tinged with barely suppressed annoyance.
Speedy turned around to face Dixie. “Oh hey, babe, there's enough of me to share,” he told her cockily.
After that, Dixie found out she could still punch Speedy across the room, with or without super strength.
