"I'll be there for you, always. No matter what."

Dick snorted as he pulled on the cowl. “I really doubt you mean that now.”

Roy grabbed Dick's arm before he could leave. “Why do you say that?”

“Because I've become exactly what all of the Titans never wanted me to be,” he spat out, but Roy didn't let go of his arm.

Roy shook his head. “Not yet you haven't, or you wouldn't still be here, talking to me.”

Dick laughed bitterly, pulling his arm away, stretching out his arms. “Look at me, Roy! I am Batman! There's no way around it!” he shouted.

“You can be Batman and not be Bruce,” Roy murmured, and Dick glared at him.

“Batman's only worth anything when it's Bruce,” he ground out before he turned heel and left.

Roy just punched a wall, lamenting that Dick may have finally become Batman fully, just because Roy had pushed a bit too hard.
