Jason didn't know what to expect with all the dead rising from their graves all over Gotham City. All he knew was he was very glad he wasn't dead at the moment. He should be, twice over, but death doesn't seem to stick for the cape and cowl crowd.
Gotham was in total chaos, which was nothing new, but this chaos was much different, and Jason didn't like it. Sure, he was partially to blame for the last time the streets of Gotham City were chaotic, but he was sane, to an extent, now, and he wasn't going to watch the city he loved go up in flames because of some zombies.
At first, he was having an easy time of it. He had been going through the graveyards to attack the zombie early, just when they received their Black Lantern rings, so after some graveyard wandering, he did see the overturned graves of the Graysons and the Drakes. He kinda felt bad for Dick, and almost felt bad for Tim, almost.
Even though he knew Dick and Tim, probably even Damian (which meant Bruce rising, but Jason was going to ignore even contemplating that), were having painful family reunions, it didn't even occur to him to watch out for his own parents. So when Willis Todd tried to attack him, Jason stared for a moment before kicking the zombie in the face.
There was no love lost between him and his old man. He could care less about him, but Willis Todd had never really treated Catherine Todd right, so even though Catherine hadn't been his real mother, Willis was going to get a beat down. When he was done, he pulled the Black Lantern ring from the zombie's finger, and all that was left of Willis Todd were his bones.
Jason pocketed dropped the ring and smashed it with the heel of his boot before going to check if Catherine Todd's grave was undisturbed. For some reason it was, and he was thankful. It meant she moved on, and he was glad for that. Before he could breath more than a sigh of relief, Jason ducked, knowing someone was behind him.
He had been right as he incredulously watched a crowbar swing by were his head had been. Jason snarled. No one swung a crowbar at him and got away unscathed. Ask Timmy, or better yet, ask the Joker. Jason turned around, snatched the crowbar away angrily only to stare in shock for a moment.
In front of him stood his mother, his biological mother, glaring at him. “I died because of you, you worthless brat,” she groaned, lunging for the crowbar.
It threw him off for a second that she was even bothering to come after him before he swung the crowbar so hard, he was knocked clear off her shoulders. “No, I died because of you, you worthless bitch,” he snarled, kicking her body the ground and started to beat her with the crowbar. “My real mother was Catherine Todd, and you were nothing.”
Jason dropped the crowbar when the zombie stopped moving, and he stayed on his hunches as he caught his breath. He took the Black Lantern ring from her finger, reducing her to old bones before he fell backwards, laying on the grass of a grave. He placed the ring on the ground and smashed it with the crowbar before glancing over the gravestone by his head.
He snorted when he read the gravestone and moved to get to his feet. Jason guessed it was only fitting that this 'family reunion' of sorts would end at his grave site as he placed the crowbar on his gravestone before heading back to main part of the city to see if Dick or Tim needed help with their parents.

Date: 2009-09-15 12:27 am (UTC)I was amused and appalled at the same time. (Which sounds like *giggle*Eeeeww*giggle*)
Then I wanted to take Jason home, clean him up and feed him soup. And snuggle him into a stupor.
