comment_fic. (Two Jasons for the price of one! XD) Prompt: "author's choice, When you get a little older, you'll discover the only difference between tragedy and comedy is whether it happened to you or someone else. (Lackadaisy)" Pre-Crisis Jason doesn't understand this world where Bruce is dead, and Dick was Batman. He found that weirder than this other more violent version of himself...

Sometimes, Jason wondered how he got to this weird world without a Batman. No, that wasn't right. There was a Batman, just not the right one. Dick, the best acrobat he ever knew, was now Batman. How could a Robin become Batman? Jason just thought it was way weird.
He even thought it was more weird than the fact there was a version of himself that never grew up in the circus, never had red hair, and kept saying he wished he has never been Robin. Jason found it a little funny that this other Jason just didn't get it. Robin had to be the best thing that happened to him. Maybe if that Jason had just been a good Robin maybe he wouldn't have...
Jason shook his head at that thought before flipping into a one handed handstand, his red again hair falling from his eyes as he balanced precariously on fire escape, waiting for the other Jason to appear. It didn't take long for the other Jason to emerge from his window and onto the fire escape with a glare that almost rivaled that one time he pissed Bruce off by taking the Robin costume without asking.
“Ja- Okay, I'm not calling you Jason, kid,” the other, more angry him said.
Jason flipped down, sitting on the railing of the fire escape with a frown. “Call me Jay, then,” he offered. “You know, your life's kinda sad. How'd you end up alone after coming back from the dead?”
He couldn't understand it, and the other Jason just snarled at him. “Shut up. You're alone too, you know. You're world's dead. You'll never get back there,” he said as he started to climb down the fire escape to start patrol. “You're a walking tragedy, and you don't even know it.”
Jason frowned at that as he watched Red Hood walk away with a laugh. The other him was really screwy, and Jason couldn't even figure out if he had laughed because it has been funny or just plain sad. With that though, Jason followed Red Hood. He didn't have anywhere else to go, anyway.
