Jason was beginning to think maybe he stuck around Talia a bit too long. He knew the only thing that spilled from her mouth were lies, and whenever he didn't want to hear them, he would kiss her hard, and things would progress from there. Sometimes he thought she said things to rile him up, but he couldn't figure out what purpose that would serve for her.

One night, one of her many lies hit too close to home. “All of the things you love are dead,” she murmured in his ear as she passed him by. “They all died with you.”

That had been the last thing he had heard fall from her lips before he tried to attack her. He was well trained, but so was she, and he didn't land a punch or kick. She stood over him once he landed on his back. Talia smiled as she straddled him, holding his arms above his head.

“You're even a bit dead, even while you breath,” she told him as he flipped her, pinning her to the ground. “Hmm, could you really win against my beloved as you are?”

Jason snarled and kissed her to shut her mouth, and she acquiesced, but only because it was what she had been aiming for him to do. He knew this, but now he knew why. They could fuck all they liked, but if he didn't train, he would never get his revenge. Now Jason knew what he must do.
