DCU Fanfic: Finding A New Babysitter

Notes: More random drawing lots for threesomes. Prompt: "Roy Harper/Steph Brown/Bart Allen: "keep your fingers cross"." Sequel to Isn't She Lovely? and will make less sense without the prequel. Roy and Steph find they need a new babysitter with an extra kid in the house.

With the addition of Steph's toddler daughter, she and Roy decided to hire a babysitter. This, of course, was grueling process since Roy was paranoid because of past experience and Steph barely wanted to take her eyes off of Carrie for two seconds. They were at the end of their choosing process, with one candidate left, and they hadn't even gotten a name, which made them quite wary.
They kept their fingers crossed as they waited for the possible babysitter candidate to arrive. There was a rapid knock on the door which made Steph and Roy share a confused look as Roy answered the foor to see Bart Allen shifting from one foot to the other with a shy grin.
“So, I heard there was a babysitting job?” he asked as Roy ushered him in.
Steph smiled at him. “I guess we don't really have to interview you Bart, but why do you want the job anyway?” she asked as Bart fidgeted a bit.
“Well, I'm back to my normal age, but I can't really go back to school, so I thought I'd try living on my own and get a job, and New York sounded cool, and Lian's adorable, and I promise I'd be good with your little girl too, Steph, and-”
“You're hired,” Steph cut in as Roy laughed a bit, wrapping his arms around Steph's shoulders.
“and- Huh? Really? Great!” Bart announced, grinning. “I won't let you guys down, promise!”
Roy nodded, giving Steph a light squeeze. “We're sure you won't,” he stated.
Steph smiled up at Roy before looking over to Bart, who had started rambling off on how great of a babysitter he will be, and how that super speed will help a bunch and that he's dealt with Wally's kids before they grew up. It would definitely be an interesting next few weeks, both Steph and Roy thought as they listened to Bart excited rambling.
