*yaaaaaaaaawns*
Apr. 29th, 2010 10:51 pmSo, I had my last day of my creative writing class. Hooray! ...so, we were doing critiques today, and we had a few copies of pieces from people, and there was one labeled 'Seeing Red.' I did two things: giggled because it's the name of an episode of Buffy (a terribly sad one, but still one nonetheless) and didn't get to read the piece but didn't like the fact it wasn't double spaced and had terribly long paragraphs (which made go 'grrr, I hate it; I dun wanna read it!').
...so when we get to critiquing it, someone read a line about rage and a dead friend then Gloria goes... "Oh, hey, that's mine! Hahaha, I forgot I wrote this!" Then I just start laughing because then I proceed to critique it as shit. The teacher is just stunned because this is the first time in all her years teaching this class (and she's OLD) that the author critiqued their own piece so harshly.
Now, the piece itself was a bit confusing because I had written it like five minutes before class, and it was my first attempt to not write fanfiction (which failed since it was essentially my reaction to GLC#43 or so with Guy/Kyle everywhere, just without the names and mention of Lantern rings and space). Obviously, it was confusing because well... They don't know Guy Gardner. *cough* They mostly liked it though, which is what tends to happen with my bullshit. I'm always amazed by this. XD
But yeah, it was kinda hilarious. I was laughing as hard that I had forgotten that was the piece I had submitted as the critique piece. I thought I had submitted the Jason/Steph one night stand fic I wrote (because that could have been normal people! XD). Ah well. It led to an amazing last day of class. I lol'd hard. XD
