Cissie glanced around her new room in the Titan Tower. It was standard size, like everyone else's, but it felt so empty. She guessed bringing a few of her personal effects might help with that. Maybe some things from her room at home, though that would mean telling her mom about being Arrowette again. Oh, she could just picture the told you so grin. As long as her mom did not try to do the advertising thing again, she could deal.
She collapsed on the bed, staring at the ceiling for a few minutes before there was knock on the door. Cissie turned her head towards the door. “Come in.”
The door creaked slightly as it opened to reveal Speedy. “Um, hi,” the archer greeted awkwardly.
Cissie smiled as she sat up. “Hi, Speedy,” she greeted back.
“Oh, you can call me Mia,” she said, shuffling her feet a bit in the doorway.
“Well, Mia, you can call me Cissie,” Cissie answered, getting up and extending a hand.
Mia shook it with a smile. “So, you want to go practice? The Tower has an amazing shooting range.”
“Sure.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few dozen arrows and some background stories later, Cissie and Mia were laughing as the left the shooting range. “They didn't really do that, did they?” Mia asked, giggling.
“Oh, you better believe it! I wasn't even Arrowette anymore at that point. I was in the middle of something and poof! I'm on a different planet with Cassie begging me to play on this baseball team. It was ridiculous,” she paused. “Though, I'll never admit it to them, it was pretty fun.”
“Wow,” Mia said in awe. “I wonder if we'll get into any situations like that...”
Cissie snorted as they walked down the hall. “Just crazier ones, I'm sure.”
Mia nodded, before stopping in the middle of the hall. Cissie stopped, turning to see what was wrong. “Mia?”
“It was really weird, you know?” Mia began. “At first, when I saw you, I could have sworn Green Arrow had been turned into a teenage girl or something, though your styles vary a little.”
Cissie frowned. “Really?”
“Yeah, the similarities are really striking,” Mia paused. “Maybe I'm just over thinking things?”
“Probably,” Cissie answered, biting her lip when she turned away. “It's almost dinnertime. Let's go see what we're doing for dinner.”
“Yeah...” Mia followed Cissie, though the thought of the similarities between Green Arrow and Arrowette were still bothering her.
When the left, a determined Arrowette puppet stumbled out of the shadows with the Wonder Girl puppet hovering next to her, concerned. The Arrowette puppet silently explained her plan to the Wonder Girl puppet. Wonder Girl puppet nodded, kissing Arrowette puppet on the check before grabbing her around the waist and flying off to put Arrowette puppet's plan in action.
