“You died.”
“Yeah, but I got better.”
Tim shook his head and buried his head in Kon's chest. “Too close, can't lose you. Not after everything,” he muttered, holding Kon closer.
Kon frowned, petting Tim's hair as he held him a bit tighter. “Tim, even if I had...” he trailed off. “You would have been okay. You're a Robin; Robins are resilient.”
Tim looked up with a plain look. “No. Losing you or Bart, that would be it for me. I- there's too much death in my life, and I couldn't take it if either of you died, even if we hadn't been in this relationship,” he stated. “Everyone has a breaking point, Kon. I, at least, know mine.”
“Tim...” Kon trailed off before closing his eyes, still running a hand through Tim's hair. “Where's Bart?”
“...he's been around,” Tim answered slowly. “I've seen blurs of red leave when I wake up. I don't think he plans to talk to us; he just needed to know you were okay.”
Kon growled. “He has no right to do that,” he said angrily. “Especially since he didn't even bother to tell us he was leaving; we had to find out from my ex.”
Tim pulled out of Kon's hug, sitting on the edge of the bed. “Kon, we have to give him space,” Tim said quietly.
“Why? Why should I? Something happened to him during the Crisis, I know that, but I died. I thought he'd care enough to stay more than a few minutes of subjective time,” Kon said bitterly. “Did I mean nothing to him? Did you mean nothing to him?”
Tim looked away. “Kon, you know that's not true.”
Kon stared at Tim for a moment before scowling. “You talked to him,” he stated. “You talked to him, and something's wrong, and you won't tell me.”
“He's changed, Kon,” Tim said quietly. “When he and the other speedsters dragged Superboy-Prime into the Speed Force, he was there for a while. Four years passed for him, while hardly any time passed for us.”
“So? Does that mean if that hadn't happened, he would have fallen out of love with us in four years?” Kon asked. “Some great love he had for us.”
Tim glared at Kon for a moment. “Kon, I know you died, but that doesn't give you the right to be an ass,” he stated with a frown. “Look, he just needs time to sort things out, all right?”
Kon sighed, trying to let go of his anger at being abandoned. “All right. I know Bart can't be having an easy time of this,” he said reluctantly. “He does know that if he stayed with us, he could have gotten some sexual healing, right?”
Tim snorted before punching Kon in the arm. “Sex does not fix everything, Kon.”
“Maybe not, but it helps,” Kon said with a suggestive leer. “So, wanna help me out?”
Tim rolled his eyes before checking that Kon's door was closed. When the door was secured, Tim started stripping off his uniform. He paused, making Kon groan unhappily. Tim walked over to the window to secure it as well. Knowing their respective friends and families, the window was a more likely point of entry. It would be unfortunate if family like Superman decided to visit during this sort of 'healing.'
