DCU Fanfic: Night Out
Apr. 12th, 2010 10:08 amTitle: Night Out
Fandom: DCU
Character(s): Roy, Connor, 'Tansy'
Pairing(s): N/A
Word Count: 729
Genre: general/humor
Rating: PG-13/T
Notes: For my Timmy. Why the name Tansy? My Timmy uses that in the RPs. XD The issue she asked for me to play in was Green Arrow v3 #32 (which I made coincide with the Robin #116-#120 storyline). This GA issue is also known as the time Roy brought Connor to a strip club for fun. Connor was uncomfortable the whole night. Well, he was, until he started talking to Tansy. She seemed kinda familiar...

Roy had said the night was still young, but Connor hadn't thought that meant they'd end up at another strip club. Connor was beginning to think that Roy was enjoying his discomfort, even though Roy swore otherwise. He just said the club was new, and he wanted to check it out before the night was over.
At least, Connor thought, Roy didn't know all the girls by name here. Actually, some of the girls were pretty covered for a strip club. When he had commented to Roy about it, he just shrugged, saying it'd all come off once they got on stage.
Connor knew that was most likely true but... There was one girl that caught his eye. She didn't strike him as a stripper, and even though Roy had told him earlier not to judge books by their cover, he'd rather date or hit on or meet a girl who was covered. Connor told Roy he'd be right back, and Roy just grinned at him.
“Go get her, man,” Roy encouraged before the stripper giving him a lap dance decided to go with more lap than dance. “I'll...be right here.”
Connor almost chuckled at that as he went to go greet the girl, but once he went over, she looked like she was about to bolt. The look only lasted a moment, so Connor was a bit confused. He headed over to her anyway.
“Hi,” he greeted, kind of shyly because even though she was more covered than the other girls, she was definitely pretty; not in the way Roy probably went for but pretty nonetheless.
The girl gave him a pretty smile. “Hey there, pretty boy,” she greeted back in a low, sultry tone. “Looking for something?”
Connor gulped at that. “J-just some conversation,” he stuttered, feeling a little silly.
With a giggle, she gestured to a nearby empty table. “Then let's get talking,” she answered as she easily slipped into the booth.
He sat across from her, smiling a little goofily. “My name's Connor,” he offered.
She sat quietly for a moment. “Nice to meet you, I'm Tansy.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After an hour or so of talking to Tansy, Roy came over, slipped into the booth, wrapping an arm around Connor's shoulders. “Bro, you should introduce me to your new friend!” Roy announced, still sober, but barely.
Connor flushed as Tansy gave a killer smile. “I go by Tansy, and you'd be?” she asked, seemingly laying it on kind of thick around Roy.
“The name's Roy,” Roy answered cheekily. “So, what are your intentions with my brother?”
Now it was Tansy's turn to flush, but before Connor could knock Roy in the ribs for being rude, she smiled a little. “I have a girlfriend,” she answered, glancing over at Connor. “I'm only in town for a little bit, until things blow over back home.”
Connor almost frowned at that as he watched Tansy leaned over the table and kissed him on the cheek before easily sliding out of the booth. “You boys take care of yourself.” She paused, not looking back. “Oh, and Roy, tell Dick I say 'hi.'”
Roy stared after her, watching Tansy leave while Connor held a hand on his check where he had been kissed. Once Tansy was gone, Roy turned around with the most perplexed look on his face, and Connor wasn't faring much better.
“Was that...” Roy trailed off before shaking his head like a dog, knocking the sunglasses off that were perched on his head. “Couldn't be...”
Connor, even though he was still a little dazed, caught the sunglasses deftly. “You knew her?” he asked as they both got out of the booth.
Roy stared at the door where Tansy had left before putting his sunglasses back on the top of his head. “Nah, I think I've had too many drinks,” he stated as he dug out his car keys and tossed them to Connor. “Let's head home.”
Catching the keys, Connor gave Roy a skeptical look, but headed out to the car with him anyway. Talking to Tansy didn't turn into anything unfortunately, other than a kiss, but at least Roy was letting him drive the Ferrari again, and maybe this time, he'll shift to the right gears.
