comment_fic. Prompt: "DCU, Dick/Steph, Batgirl and Robin ~ either time travel or AU." Based off an RP me and Mina (
genderblender) are doing. Steph is the first Batgirl, and like always, her dad is an ass, and Robin seemingly doesn't approve of her.

Her dad was a dumbass. Steph knew this, and that’s why she was out on the rooftops of Gotham in an eggplant and goldenrod colored Bat...girl suit. Well, she was definitely not Batman, she knew that, but she wasn’t supposed to be. Steph just needed for her shadow to look menacing.
Once she found the right lighting to cast her shadow right over her dad and his goons, Steph made sure to make it good. Her dad and his goons ran scared, hastily grabbing their plans and blueprints, leaving a few behind. She grinned as she made her way down the fire escape at the side of the building.
Steph sneaked into the warehouse, and she started to gather the papers, so she could figure out her dad’s next bonehead move. When he tried his next heist, Batgirl would be ready to take him down. ...or maybe she’d tell Batman and Robin instead, since these plans had a lot of explosives involved, and she had no idea how to defuse a bomb.
“Who are you supposed to be? Bat-Girl?” a voice asked from above her head.
She jumped, dropping the papers and looking up at the real Boy Wonder, hanging upside down from a rafter. “Yeah, I am,” she said, trying to act like she really knew what she was doing. “And I’ve got this covered.”
Robin gave her a skeptical look as he flipped down from the rafters, landing gracefully in front of her. “No need,” he said as he snatched up the papers from her hands. “Batman and I can take care of it. You should go home and wash your hair or something.”
Steph put her hands on her hips and glared at him. “Hey, this is my crime to bust. Get lost, short-shorts,” she spit out.
“And she’s cute when she’s angry,” Robin said, like he hadn’t heard her. “Leave the fighting to the guys.”
“Jerk!” she nearly screamed, turning on her heel to leave, but not before turning back around and giving the Boy Wonder a good swift kick in the shins.
Robin winced and almost cursed as she left, and Steph grinned as she left, feeling a bit vindicated, though, she would have to find a way to get those papers back later.
