Okay, business number one: no Bek this weekend. I predicted correctly; her life went boom again. Things are okay, but her grandmother needs to be watched constantly, and her sister and mom are working this weekend, so she's on grandma watch (which make me think what's wrong with her brothers, but one's a juvenile delinquent and the other one that's around is a bit spacy: lovely).

SO, next item of business. I've decided to comment_fic binge this weekend. I am collecting prompts right now, so leave some for today's kink theme or tomorrow's free for all to see if any bite. XD

1. What's your favorite story from a comic?
Hmmm, good question... I wonder if this means storyline or just one comic? My favorite comic is Gotham Knights #43, most likely, with Jason and Babs meeting and kicking ass together. And all the flirting he does. Then, storyline wise... A lot of Steph and Tim's relationship, before Willingham got his hands on them. Like the pregnancy storyline and the one where she talks about her really bad babysitter. D: Tim was the perfect boyfriend in those storylines. *smooshes them*

2. What do you like better and why- RPing or writing fics?
See, it's not a matter of better; it's a matter which am I in the mood for. If I'm in that much of an RP mood, I can't write, but if I'm in a writing mood, I can almost always RP. I find RP just to be an easier form of writing fic. I mean, yeah script form, but I still love it. <3 I don't think I love one over the other, though. XD

3. What's your favorite word?
This is an excellent question! Some people would say fuck. >>;; Sometimes, I am inclined to agree with them, but uhhh... I don't think I favor one particular word over another. My fics may say otherwise. XD

4. What's your favorite DCU pairing that does not involve Jason Todd?
Heh, this one's easy! Steph/Tim! God, I have to admit this isn't just a kick anymore. If you trace back all my mentions of cravings for Steph/Tim, it's been like half a year. It's my canon OTP, it seems. ...otherwise, I'd say Roy/Steph. XD

5. What's your favorite icon?
Tough, because I make so many, but I'll have to go with the one on this post: Etrigan kissing Batman. Not many things make me happier than Bruce looking terribly uncomfortable. >:D

1. It feels pretty cool, honestly! I always used to have more female friends in school, I prefer to read/write about female characters, and I'm bi, so I always felt more comfortable in the female-friendly quarters of LJ fandom than in the macho confines of CBR and forums like that. XD

2. It's a Gypmu! It's an animal from Neopets, which I belong to and play a bit on. I love it. :D

3. Ahhh...yes. I misspelled it on my original e-mail when I was like 15, and it stuck. My current e-mail and my Ao3 handle are correct, and if I ever get a rename token, I'll fix it.

4. I picked up my first comic book when I was 7. It was an issue of the Archie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles book. A year later, Superman died, and a lifelong obsession was born. I have now collected the Superman books for almost 20 years straight, without missing an issue.

5. Wow, that's a hard one! I think I'd have to go with Batman: No Man's Land. Such an epic tale, with so many layers. Plus...Cass!

1. I stared reading more DCU comics (I was a Marvel gal until they started the whole 'no more mutants' thing) and almost immediately went in search of fanfic because it was so very obvious that DC is all about the slashable relationships without actually getting anyone together. ... And Kon was dead and I hated that.

2. Oh this shouldn't be any big surprise...
1) Tim Drake. Hands down my favorite comic character ever.
2) Conner Kent
3) Bart Allen
4) Alfred Pennyworth
5) Tie between Dick Grayson, and the new Blue Beetle

3. Oh man... I'm going to narrow this down to DCU fics otherwise I'll never decide. I think right now Ties of Blood and Love is my favorite, of those I've co-written with Trasgapoca, but of the ones I've written on my own, I'm most proud of Stained Glass Angels, my Noir AU add on to Me_Ri_Ya's Left Behind series.

4. Urban Fantasy (Which I sort of include superheroes in) Definitely.

5. I'm a Browncoat through and through, Firefly is my favorite show. Although Supernatural is right up there too. As far as books go, I can't really say, I've literally read at least 5,000 books so far and which one I like best depends on my mood. At the moment? Rob Thurman's Cal Leandros series. (Which I think you would really like btw. Cal reminds me a whole lot of Jason Todd sometimes and Niko, his big brother, is twenty kinds of awesome.)

2) At this point Gwen likes to watch any of the cartoons (Teen Titans, Brave and the Bold, The Batman, all the the Justice League, etc.) I let her play with my DC plushie dolls, and she likes to read Tiny Titans and play with hero clicks.

3) Top ten characters in no particular order: Tim, Babs, Roy, Kon, Dick, Jason, Dinah, Beryl, Connor, Krypto/Ace. None of these should be any kind of surprise.

4) Well right now Red Robin, Batgirl, and Tiny Titans I read faithfully. Kent reads Booster Gold and the Green Lantern Books. We also pick up most of the team books, JLA, JSA, Teen Titans (minus BOP though), but I'm kind of behind one them.

5) About ten years ago I was really into it. X-titles, Spiderman, and little bit of Avengers, but I kind of fell out of it. And I really don't know what's going on over there. Though SOMEONE (looks at you and pervy) got me into YA so I've picked those up. :)

6. Tim go back to his team.
7. The Teen Titans get a good writer and a real direction.
8. Roy be fixed. Nanites made him do it!

1. He's a snarky, sarcastic, grey-area, traumatized, mentally unstable, badass-but-still-a-woobie vigilante. Any of those things alone would make him interesting to me, but the combination just makes him awesome.
2. ... hoo boy, that's a toughie. Um... probably Superman: Aftermath, if that counts?
3. Tie between UTH!Jason and Laurel's Jasmine.
4. Well, I love both Hell and And Back Again, but those were co-written so I'm not sure they count? Of the ones that are mine alone, I'd have to say "Anniversary" and "An Interlude."

1. can you believe i haven't read ANY of gotham knights?
2. i think they both have their merits. while rp is fun, it still requires another person and you have to wait for someone else's response, so it can get a little tricky. and as fun as fanfic writing is, sometimes having someone else write the other character(s) can give you a new perspective or make you fall in love with a character you wouldn't otherwise have even batted an eye at.
