“So, are you going to explain how you got into my Robin’s Nest, and why you’re on my couch eating my pint of premium ice cream?” Tim asked, keeping his voice as evenly as possible.

“Nah,” Owen replied, digging his spoon back into the carton of rocky road. “This is really good. I couldn’t even afford this shit.”

“Then you should stop eating it unless you plan to pay me back for it,” Tim bit out.

Owen frowned. “Man, can you cut me a break. I just got turned flat by the most beautiful girl in the world, and she dropped me here in Gotham,” he said sadly, taking another spoonful of ice cream.

Tim was starting to empathize, and he didn’t like it. “Who dumped you...rather literally?” he asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

“Supergirl,” Owen replied with a sad sigh. “She tried to do it nicely, but then I opened my big mouth, and well, here I am.”

“Sucks,” Tim commiserated. “I uh, fell asleep on a roller coaster on my last date. The girl won’t take my calls now.”

Owen snorted, shooting Tim a glance. “Really? Heh, I guess with the crime fighting gig, roller coasters would be peaceful.”

“Yeah, seriously,” Tim agreed before sighing. “I’ll let you stick around, but you’re gonna share that carton with me once I get myself a spoon.”

“I can deal with that.”
