01. Steph/Tim, Jasmine, Black Mask: AU Under the Hood & War Games
“Hood, stop following me!” Stephanie exclaimed.
“Hood? I think you were expecting someone else, little girl,” a voice that definitely wasn’t Jasmine’s said behind her.
Steph spun around to see the Black Mask grinning at her. “So, little girlie here’s friends with the Red Hood. Heh, I wonder how Mr. Hood would feel if I tortured his little girlfriend.”
“I’m not he- his girlfriend,” she said angrily, getting ready to swing the bag she had been shouldering.
“Don’t matter, girlie,” Black Mask told her, catching the bag as it was swung at him. “You mentioned him, so that means you talk with the man. Why would he talk to a little girl like you if you weren’t important? Bet this bag’ll tell me something.”
She shoved into his arms, jumping back. “Go ahead, take it,” Steph spat, revealing a detonator in her palm. “Watch that plan go boom in your face.”
02. Steph/Tim, Ivy: during Red Robin/Batgirl/Gotham City Sirens
Tim kept up with her, not saying a word. Earlier, he had tried to talk to her about the engagement, but Steph wouldn’t let him. She didn’t want to hear how he had moved on when she hadn’t yet. She still loved him, and dammit if that didn’t hurt every time she saw him now. Shaking those thoughts out of her head, Steph landed gracefully on the roof of the building.
“There should be entrance right about here...ah-ha!” Steph announced as she picked the lock and let herself in.
The top floor was the green house, and not quite where they wanted to be. “We shouldn’t stick around here too long. Ivy probably won’t be amused,” Tim said.
03. Steph/Tim, Jack Drake: War Games AU
“Hello?” Tim answered, trying to sound sleepy.
“I did a bad thing, and I don’t... He fired me, and I just don’t know what to do...”
“Wait, what? What happened?” he questioned, worried because Steph’s voice sounded so out of sorts and a little broken. “Ste-”
“Who is this, and why are you calling so damn late?” Jack’s bleary voice came onto the phone, cutting Tim off.
“...I shouldn’t have called. I’m sorry.”
There was a click, and Steph was gone. “Son, who was that?” Jack asked.
04. Steph, Tim, Dick, Jason, Roy: Next part of Masters and Slaves 'verse
“Stephanie!” he exclaimed. “When did you get there?”
Stephanie giggled. “I’ve been here for a few minutes, Tim,” she said, tilting her head. “I said to call me Steph, remember.”
Tim flushed, and Dick knew that Tim had definitely sneaked into the girl’s room earlier. “Okay, Steph,” Tim murmured quietly, biting his lip for a moment. “Wanna read with me? I could get another book-”
“No, I wanna see the one you’re reading,” she cut in as she walked around to couch and plopped down next to him, pretty close. “It’s a porn book, right? They’re always fun to read.”
Dick covered his mouth, so he wouldn’t be heard laughing; he can’t remember the last time Tim was that red without master being in the room. “I-I...girls like porn books?” Tim questioned, shifting a bit closer to the armrest of the couch.
Stephanie snorted. “Well, yeah. I’m a sex slave, too, Tim,” she stated, snatching the book from him. “My last master made me like sex, so I like to know new things I can do with it.”
“Oh,” Tim said as she opened to the page he was on. “I, um...I don’t know much about girls, so...”
05. Tim/Steph, Darla, Bernard: Robin #126 AU
When I saw him with that bimbo, I was furious. Now, I’m still pretty furious, but I have a plan. Yes, I, Stephanie Brown, have a plan. The boyfriend is gonna be smooching other girls while he thinks I’m not looking? Well, he has another thing coming! I’m gonna pay him a visit, and if that girl’s around, there’s going to be some words.
...or maybe some fists, since I see her and some blond boy walking down the school steps with Tim. Take a deep breath, I tell myself as I straighten out my shirt. I’m totally hotter than that brunette bitch any day. Hmph.
“Hey, Tim!” I greet as a run over to him, pushing my way in between him and the twit.
“Steph-!” Tim says a little startled before I plant one on him.
I hear the girl behind me make a noise, and the blond’s whistling. “Drake, you haven’t properly introduced us to your lady friend,” the blond says.
“Stephanie Brown,” I tell him before boyfriend wonder can speak up. “Tim’s girlfriend for the past two years.”
06. Little Steph, Alton Brown, Tim: AU DCU/Good Eats Crossover
“Hello?” she answered, wondering who Alton Brown was.
“Hello? Is this little Stephanie? Is your father home, dear?” Alton asked. “This is your Uncle Alton.”
“Dad never mentioned an Uncle Alton,” Steph said warily.
Alton huffed over the phone. “Oh bother. He’s still mad about how I portrayed him on Good Eats. Arthur sure knows how to hold grudge,” he muttered before sighing. “You know when your daddy’ll be home?”
“No. He left with mom for a trip in Arizona,” she explained.
“Arizona? Did he leave you to fend for yourself?” Alton asked, obviously concerned.
Steph bit her lip. “Yes,” she replied because to her it was true; she had to fend for herself with a babysitter like him.
07. Roy/Steph + Tim
After leaving Gotham, Tim thought he'd at least stay out of America for a while, but a lead had led him to NYC, and he couldn't just ignore it. What he hadn't known was Steph had moved away from Gotham. He hadn't had the time to find out what she had been up to while Gotham was falling apart, and Jason had been creating chaos.
#He wanted to check up on her, not to make sure she wasn't being Spoiler, but to make sure she was okay. Tim knew he had been harsh, and his lead wasn't going anywhere tonight, so Tim decided to find Steph. He wasn't exactly sure what he'd do when he found her, maybe apologize.##
What he hadn't expected was to find her at Roy Harper's place, kissing Roy's neck as Roy opened the door. He was shocked to say the least, and when they closed the door behind them, Tim saw Steph jumping up, wrapping her legs around Roy's waist, kissing him passionately as the door shut.##
Tim had no idea what to think, but he knew he needed to find out more. He moved to find the window to Roy's bedroom. He knew it probably wasn't right or moral to do this, but he needed to know Steph was okay. When he reached Roy's window, he saw them tumble onto the bed as clothes fell away.
08. Connor/Steph/Tim: costumes
Tim felt bad that he had to leave Connor alone with Steph when he promised them both there’d be no patrolling getting in the way in their hang out time, but Batman needed him. He promised he’d be back in an hour, and they didn’t have to come out with him.
When he did return to the nest where he left them, Tim found no sign of them in the living room. He frowned. He was sure Connor wouldn’t have left after traveling cross country to visit him and Steph without at least saying goodbye, and Steph was excited about tonight; she wouldn’t have left either.
09. Steph/Tim, Ariana: Early on Robin AU
“Hi, I was wondering-”
“You!” Robin's maybe girlfriend gasps, giving me a little glare. “You're that girl.”
I blink. “What now?” I ask, clearly confused.
“The one Tim was looking at the funeral,” she announces, warily. “He said he didn't know you, but... Do you know Tim Drake?”
My life can't be this easy, can it? I did not just get Robin's name handed to me, I think as I shrug. “Never heard of him,” I answer rather truthfully. “Should I have?”
“Oh no, I'm sorry,” the girl, Ari-something, says. “It was just silly. I haven't seen him for a while, so I miss him...”
10. Jason/Babs: Tutor Porn
Wait, Babs was his tutor? Jason tried not to grin at this as he told Gordon goodbye. Once Gordon was gone, Jason smirked as he headed for the kitchen. Babs sat at the kitchen table, a pair of glasses balanced on her nose as she looked up from her book, smiling at Jason.
“Took you long enough, little bird,” she teased as she motioned for him to sit next to her. “Now, take out your books.”
Jason did as he told, piling his books on the table, stealing glances of how Babs looked. Her hair was twisted near the nape of her neck, pulled tightly into a bun. She wore a button down blouse that was buttoned up to the collar, a long black skirt, and a pair of mary janes. She looked very much like a librarian, but the naughty kind because Jason knew her better than to think she was really that prim and proper when she fought crime in that tight Batgirl costume every night.
11. Jason/Tim: BftC AU
“Join me. Be my Robin.”
Well, Tim thought, there could be worse words to be running through his head as he woke up. Tim tried to sit up, but the bandages around his chest wouldn't let him. “Stay. The. Hell. Down,” a voice growled at him as a strong hand pushed Tim back onto the bed.
Tim cracked his eyes open to see a scowling Jason glaring down at him. “Good morning to you too,” Tim muttered, wincing as he made himself comfortable again.
“That plan of yours went too far,” Jason snarled. “Why the fuck was there a crowbar in my cave anyway!?”
Tim closed his eyes. “Sorry about that,” he apologized before looking up at Jason earnestly. “Did it work?”
12. Jason, Dick, Tim: next part of Knightsverse
Bruce had left with Alfred that night, going off to the moon to the JLA headquarters to recuperate. Jason wasn't happy that he was stuck in the Manor, alone with Dick. Even worse, Bruce had told him Dick was in charge. Jason was sixteen, and he could take care of himself just fine! He had been doing it perfectly fine before Bruce found him, and he didn't need some stupid not from Alfred to tell him what to do either.
Master Richard, Master Jason, if either of you create a mess, do not attempt to clean anything. Call for assistance or hire a housekeeper for the duration of my and Master Bruce's furlough. --Alfred
Jason crumpled the note and tossed it over his shoulder, letting it roll underneath the refrigerator, probably never to be heard of from again. Jason stretched his arms over his head and hollered to Dick upstairs that he was heading to the Cave to suit up.
13. Mr. Twister, Roy: C4J Fix it fic
Bromwell Stikk was a poor man until he found a discarded lottery ticket. It happened to be a winning one. It wasn't just a few dollars either. It was big bucks, and Bromwell couldn't believe it. The shock wore off soon enough, and he started spending his money. He bought a place in California to get away from the chill of New York in the winter.
Even with all his money and his new home, he was terribly lonely. Bromwell thought about being supervillain again, but that would never end well. Maybe he could help people with his money, but who? Then he remembered the last person to be kind to him during the holidays.
That was who he would help. Just to find the man and help him. His search led him to the Titans' compound where the man he wanted to help lay comatose in the medical area. Red Arrow was short an arm, and if what Bromwell was hearing correct, a dead daughter.
14. Arthur Brown, Tim, Damian, Steph: Cluemaster's Alive
It had been over a year since his daughter had been killed because of the goddamned Batman, and Arthur Brown missed her every day. He tried to get Batman to pay for what he did, and it hadn't worked. Even looking for that damnable quack that hadn't given his daughter the proper treatment came up empty. Soon, all he had left were bad memories, and he had to get out of Gotham.
It hadn't worked; just like every other Gothamite, he was seduced back by the city. There was nothing left for him there, but Arthur couldn't leave. He needed something, and he didn't know what. No, he needed to see his daughter, alive and well, but that just wasn't possible. Instead, he went to visit her grave.
The grave hadn't been visited in a long while, that much was clear, and it made Arthur's blood boil. He knelt down, cleaning away the weeds and dirt that was starting to obscure the gravestone. He hated that her grave was not even being visited. Surely Crystal came to visit her daughter, or had she gone back to the pill bottle? Arthur would go to check on her, but he was sure his help wasn't welcome or wanted.
After a few more moments, Arthur stood up. “I'm sorry, baby. I'm so sorry no one visits you anymore,” he murmured quietly. “I wish I could see your face one more time, even if it was just a scowl before you tell me to jump off a bridge.”
He paused after his words, something clicking in his mind. Baby, he had said. He hadn't been around at the time, but when had spoken to Crystal after Stephanie's death, she had mentioned their grandbaby in passing. The little girl had been given up for adoption. That little girl was the last link in the world that Arthur had to his daughter, and he was going to see her. Just to make sure she was okay, he told himself as he left the cemetery to put his plan in motion.
15. Steph, Tim: dead daughter
She visited the grave every day, and even thought she didn't always see Tim, Steph knew he was there in the shadows. A few times he'd join here, kneeling in the dirt by the gravestone of her daughter. Sometimes, Tim would just silently hold her while she cried; other times, he would quietly tell her every detail of her daughter's tiny form.
16. Jason, Tim, implied Batman/Etrigan: read Detective Comics #603, post-Robin #183
He sat back down, photo album in hand, and started to flip through it. Only a page in and he knew that this album belonged to Tim. There was a dedication that was obvious, but more young than something Bruce would put together. Plus, Bruce was in half of the pictures.
Actually, not Bruce so much as Batman and not only Batman, but Batman and Robin. At first when he saw the Robin colors, Jason figured it was Dick, but when he actually looked, they were all him. Jason's eyes narrowed at that for a moment as he flipped through, bringing back memories of flying high and kicking ass with steel-toed pixie boots. It almost brought a smile to his face, but halfway through the rather thick album, Jason came upon his obituary and other newspaper clippings.
Those made him scowl along with snippets about the Joker's stint as a diplomat. He skipped the rest of the newspaper clippings, though some lines of 'Batman Breaks Bad Guys' caught his eye, but he ignored them until there were a few pictures of Batman beating on criminals rather harshly. It reminded Jason of himself which made him turn the page.
He paused mid-page turn when he noticed a picture hidden behind the others. He plucked it from it's hidden spot, seeing the date on the back fitting right in on the page it was on. Turning it over, Jason gaped. It was a picture of Batman, getting kissed by Jason Blood's demonic alter-ego, Etrigan. Placing the album and the picture on the coffee table, Jason pushed them away with grimace.
Jason leaned back on the couch, wondering what the hell to think of that as he closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. Everything in that album was in meticulous chronological order, even if that picture was hidden. That meant whatever that kiss was after Jason had died. Maybe Bruce did go crazy after he died. Jason had never believed that before, but it'd explain a lot. Maybe Bruce just cracked and hid it well after he had Robin again to help fix him.
17. Dick, Jason: Post-Nightwing #25
“Hey, kid,” he said softly as he crouched down to turn him over. “You okay?”
When he turned the kid over, Dick got the shock of his life when he saw that it was Jason, the same age he would have been if he hadn't died. Dick's eyes widened as he checked for a pulse and found a steady one. Not sure what to do, Dick kept trying to wake the kid up. He needed to know who the hell this was because it couldn't be Jason, could it?
“Hey, wake up,” he said a bit louder, lightly slapping the kid's cheeks.
The kid groaned. “Go away, Bruce,” he muttered as he tried to roll over, wanting to go back to sleep. “Five more minutes...”
That was enough proof for Dick, for now anyway, as the kid, maybe Jason, went back to sleep as Dick picked him and slipped off into the shadows.
18. Steph, Jason: Amnesia fic, post-BftC, before Gotham Gazette: Batman Alive
“Hello, Stephanie,” the doctor greeted, flipping through the patient's charts. “He was found washed up on the shore of the South End of the Gotham River. I was told he was one of those Batman copycats. Probably fell off a bridge trying to play hero. Poor deluded fool.”
Steph grimaced. “I'm sure he thought he was helping...” she tried, looking over at the man. “I can talk him down when he wakes up if needed.”
The doctor nodded and snapped the patient's chart shut before placing it back at its place at the foot of the bed. “If he gets to be too much, there is a call button. No need to handle him alone. He seems pretty strong,” he stated before leaving the room.
Steph made a face as the doctor left. “I could handle this dumbass,” she grumbled. “Fake Batman, ugh. No one can replace him...”
She glanced over the man, who looked more like her age than anything. Did he really think he could be Batman? Steph stood by the bed, looking over his features. Well, she thought, he definitely had the right face to be a Bat. She had a feeling he had blue eyes too. When some of his hair fell into his eyes, Steph moved to brush away the stray piece of hair, but as her hand got close, his hand shot out, gripping her wrist tightly. His eyes were wide open and fixed on her.
19. Jason/Tim, Cass, Steph: Hooker AU
Jason had been a street walker ever since he was thirteen. At first, he blamed other people for how he ended up in this position. His mother for dying, his dad for ditching them, and he even blamed Batman at times. The last one was a bit irrational; Batman can't save everyone, but sending Jason to Ma Gunn had been his doing.
Yeah, she seemed like a real teacher for the unfortunate young boys of Crime Alley, but Jason and the rest of the boys figured out real quick that was all for show. Ma Gunn's School for Boys was really Ma Gunn's Whorehouse of Young Boys. Some of the boys, Jason noticed real quick, had been there a long time and had no way out, knowing nothing else.
Jason didn't want to end up that way, but at this point, he had no choice. When he ran back home, Batman caught up with him and sent him back. Though, after that, Batman figured out quick what was really going on. He shut down the whorehouse, and Jason and the boys were free.
Not for too long, though. Jason knew he couldn't just go back to jacking tires like he used to; Batman would find him if he did that again. Without knowing much else, he fell back into what the other boys knew and became a hooker like the rest of them.
20. Roy, Kory, Lian, Steph: Roy moves to Gotham instead Star City
He wanted to move. Away from the League and away from Kendra, so much so that he even sold his place, just so he wouldn't have a reason to stick around. Unfortunately, Roy didn't buy another place first, so he and Lian would be crashing at the Titans' compound for a while. Not that Lian minded at all; she missed her Titan 'uncles' and 'aunts.'
Roy was thinking about maybe moving back to Star City. There was lots of pros to move there, like unlimited access to family to use as babysitters, but Roy wasn't quite sure he was ready head back to the west coast. Or maybe he just wasn't quite ready to deal with Ollie. He knew once Ollie found out about Kendra, Ollie would be trying to set him up to get his mind off his girl troubles. Not exactly what Roy wanted, so moving back to Star City would be an idea shelved for a later date.
“Roy, may I speak with you?” Kory's voice said from his bedroom doorway.
Roy looked up at her from his bed, still half naked under the sheets since he'd been lazing in bed since Lian was with Donna, and there were no crises or bad guys to fight, so he was just thinking about when and where to move him and Lian. “Sure, Kory.”
21. Jason, Tim, Steph: Steph's baby's new parents die
“Jason, report,” Tim snapped over the com.
Jason rolled his eyes as he got closer to the wreckage. “There's no way anyone survived this fiery wreck,” he stated quietly.
Tim was silent for a moment before he made a choked sound. “Please, check out the wreckage.”
Jason made a face at Tim's plead, but he complied as he heard a sound from the backseat of the car; it had mostly avoided catching on fire. “I hear something,” Jason reported, “in the backseat.”
“A baby crying?”
“Yeah, how did you know that? There's no way you heard that over the com. It's faint,” Jason said suspiciously as he wretched the back door open.
“Doesn't matter how I know, just save the baby!” Tim ordered.
Jason winced as he pulled out the baby girl. “You're hiding something, baby bird, and when I find out-”
Before Jason could finish his sentence, the rest of the car blew up in a fiery blaze. Jason jumped away, shielding the baby. “What was that? Jason, respond!”
Jason coughed as he carefully cradled the crying baby. “What do you think!? The car exploded, jackass!” he shouted into the com, making the baby cry harder. “Whoever was in the driver's and passenger's seat are goners. So what was this mission?”
22. Vicki Vale/Jason Todd
Proving all these connections that she had made may be even more difficult than she thought. After her initial discovers, there were a few loose ends that would inevitably be pointed out. To make sure not be made the fool, Vicki Vale made sure to list out everything, trying to make a credible timeline.
Batman appeared one night. Three years later, Robin appeared. Sometime after Robin, Batgirl appeared. Years later, Nightwing appeared, but mainly stuck with Batgirl when he was in Gotham. At that point, Batman was short a Robin for a few months until a new one appeared, more violent than the last but just as good after a few months. A year or two later, that Robin disappeared while Joker bragged about bagging himself a Robin. During that time, Batman grew extremely violent.
Sometime before or a little after the second Robin dies, Batgirl disappears completely. A few months later, Batman begins to calm down. After a few more months, a new Robin debuts, wearing pants instead of the short-shorts. He sticks around for a while. Another Batgirl shows up after the earthquake, definitely nothing like the last.
23. Jason's Titans: Jason, Connor, Kyle, Owen, Grant
This was not what he expected at all. Sneaking around Star City to snatch up a Speedy was probably a bad idea. Hell, Jason did not even know if there was a Speedy after he heard Roy became Arsenal. All the name changes that happened while he was dead hurt his head, not to mention the bad costume changes.
Jason sighed has went through the shadows, looking for maybe a new Arrow to join his cause. Lucky for him, the Arrow found him. “You can put the bow down, bow-boy,” Jason said to the person behind him, who was a bit shocked as to how Jason knew he was there. “I'm not here to cause trouble. I have a proposition.”
When he knew the bow and arrow had been lowered, Jason turned around to face him. Not exactly what he was expecting, but the kid would do. “Want to join the Titans?”
24. Steph, First Teen Titan: Wally, Steph, Garth
Before Steph could survey the damage more closely to figure out what had happened, a splash came from the beach on the other side of the wreckage. “You guys are Robin and Kid Flash?” an almost timid voice came from the boy clad in red and blue that emerge from the ocean.
Robin and Kid Flash nodded. “And you're Aqualad,” Steph said as Kid Flash impatiently shuffled from foot to foot.
“Okay, okay, now that introductions are all done, can we head into town and find out what's going on here?” Kid Flash asked quickly.
Steph almost huffed but nodded anyway. “All right, let's head into-”
In a blink of an eye, she, Kid Flash, and Aqualad were in front of Town Hall. “-town,” Steph finished before pushing Kid Flash's arm away from her waist. “Kid Flash, ask first before you do that!”
25. Damian/Colin, Bruce/Talia: First Robin
With a look of distaste, Damian turned to leave. “Hey! Um, you in the dark clothes,” a voice called from the orphanage gates.
Damian turned around to see a red head boy about his age at the gate. “Yes?” he inquired, wondering what the orphan wanted.
“Do you wanna play with us?” the kid asked, quickly adding. “I mean, you look kinda lonely.”
It took quite a bit of willpower to keep Damian from rolling his eyes at the kid. If he was going to help the Batman in this town, he should probably at least not let his distaste for their way of living show. Though, he guessed it wasn't quite these kids' faults they were living in a orphanage.
“Play?” he questioned after a moment.
The kid nodded, giving a little shy smile. “Well, yeah. We're playing soccer, if you wanna play.”
Damian glanced over to the other kids playing, and whatever they were playing, it definitely wasn't soccer as he knew it. “I don't play,” he answered.
